WINEMAKER NOTES
The 2006 Gossips Shiraz has a beautiful crimson color, with a nose of dark berries with chocolaty earth aromas. This Shiraz is a perfectly balanced and spicy fruit symphony matched with soft, silky supple tannins and a pleasingly long, lingering finish.  Alc/Vol: 13.5%. pH: 3.45. TA: 6.45 g/L.vRS: 10.5 g/

THE VINEYARDS
Sourced from our own vineyards and selected growers.  Grapes are specially selected from small parcels of vines in South Eastern Australia. The vines are carefully cultivated to our specifications, with low yields producing intensely-flavored grapes of outstanding quality.

WINERY LOCATION
Warburn Estate is located near Griffith in New South Wales, in the centre of the large Riverina grape-growing and agricultural region. Griffith is renowned for its fine wines, quality restaurants, excellent cuisine and country hospitality.

We’re about 600 kilometres from Sydney, 500 kilometres from Melbourne and 800 kilometres from Adelaide.

Shiraz Shiraz, or Syrah, is a variety of grape used in wine. It is called Syrah in France, Argentina, Chile and most of the United States. In South Africa, Australia, and Canada it is known as Shiraz. In Australia it used to be called Hermitage up to the late 1980s. It should not be confused with Petite Sirah, a synonym for Durif, which is a different type of grape. Syrah is the offspring of two obscure French varieties, Dureza and Mondeuse Blanche. (Dureza, native to the Ardèche, Mondeuse Blanche "White Mondeuse", native to the Savoie). The grape also has many other synonyms that are used in various parts of the world including Antourenein Noir, Balsamina, Candive, Entournerein, Hignin Noir, Marsanne Noir, Schiras, Sirac, Syra, Syrac, Serine, and Sereine.
