MDM Distribution is a woman-owned and operated National Wine Sales Company based in San Francisco, California. Melanie Moffett’s focus is to represent high quality, small production, hand crafted wines from family-owned wineries. From its inception in 2002, President, Melanie Moffett's goal has been to develop a business model to provide a vehicle for family owned wineries to compete effectively with the highly commercialized wines of California. MDM Distribution has effectively built a reputation for quality and service in the industry and look forward to continued growth.
Our focus
Our focus is representing the top artisan producers from their respective California appellations and concentrate on selling, marketing and managing these special wines. By limiting redundancy and promoting quality, these stars of their respective regions or categories get the attention they have earned.
Our model
Our model is different!
Our model is a hybrid and tailored to meet the needs of the small producer. We are not a distributor and not a traditional wine broker. We took the best of both models and created our hybrid model. MDM functions within the framework of a distributor, however, gives the flexibility and control to a producer that a broker relationship does.
